My Story
I grew up in Custer, South Dakota, where my parents ran a small weed-spraying business. From an early age, I learned the value of hard work, the challenges of seasonal income, and just how vital small businesses are to our towns. I know what it’s like to work like there’s no tomorrow during the summer and hope you’ve made enough to get through the winter. That experience sparked my passion for marketing and taught me how important it is to make every dollar count.
After graduating from Custer High School in 2015, I went on to play football at Presentation College in Aberdeen, SD, where I earned a degree in Communications in 2019. That’s also where I met my beautiful wife, Alyssa. My career began as a sports writer in Winner, SD, then took me back home to KNBN NewsCenter1, the station I grew up watching. From there, I worked in sports streaming and later at a local marketing company in the Black Hills. Each step gave me experience, relationships, and lessons that shaped the vision for my own company.
Why Odrix Media?
In 2023, I launched Odrix Media (formerly First Amendment Media) with a simple mission: take care of small businesses across Spearfish and the Black Hills with honesty, transparency, and strategies that truly deliver results.
I believe in fair pricing, straightforward advice, and accountability. My philosophy is simple: if what I’m doing for your business isn’t making you money, fire me. Marketing should pay for itself — and then some.
